Where has this month gone!!

I haven't had much time for scrapping over the last few weeks as we have been busy trying to get Emilys bedroom decorated, I did manage to grab myself an hour last week and put together this layout. I just loved these Crate papers!!

When we went to Chessington it was really hot and we kept having to remind the kids to slap on the suncream. Rebecca decided to paint her face in it!

I had a lovely surprise for my birthday from my darling husband, I had mentioned that I would love a laptop so that I could sit in the lounge with him in the evening when I am trawling UKScrappers. Bless him he went and bought me this.

I decided that I wanted a pink case for my laptop and found this gorgeous one online.

Rebecca went on the German exchange just over a week ago and so we decided that it would be a good time to decorate emilys bedroom as she could move into Rebeccas while she was away. It took a lot more time and effort than we thought it would and I have vowed never to decorate another room!! Well until next time :) On Sunday we went up to Ikea and Emily chose all her furniture and we spent until nearly 10pm putting it all together! She is really pleased with it and it does look lovely, much more grown up for her.

Justin studying the instructions for the chest of drawers and not having much fun!!

Justin and I are off to Hong Kong on Friday, I can't believe how quickley it has come around, hopefully I will get some amazing photo opportunities. It is going to really strange as we are going without the girls. My next posting will no doubt be full of photos of our holiday!!

Busy few Days

I was starting to feel a need to take some photos as I hadn't seemed to take any since our weekend away at Chessington. Rebecca turned 12 on Friday so it was the perfect opportunity! It has become a family tradition for the girls to come into our bedroom on birthday mornings and open presents sat on the bed, Friday was no exception.

Rebecca 12 today!!!

I loved this style of photo when I saw it in Scrapbook Trends last month so have decided to take one each year of the girls.

Rebecca wanted to go into town on Saturday with her friend Eleanor to spend some of her birthday money, this is our usual pit stop for coffee and cake!

We had to get up at 4.15 this morning to take Rebecca up to school for her trip to Germany, she was so excited. She rang me a few hours ago to say she had got there safely after a 15 hour journey! Bless her she didn't sound too happy but hopefully it is just because she is very tired.

We went out for a meal today to celebrate fathers day although it was a bit strange as we were only half a family, Emily and I. Rebecca was making her way across Europe and Justin was in bed as he is on lates. My sister took this photo of the two of us, I am honestly not 9 months pregnant the wind blew my top up!!

I am hoping to get some scrapping time this week, I have been asked by sarah over at Sarahs Cards to keep the blog updated so I want to try and get some more classes and challanges going on over there. Here is the blog link if you fancy having a look.

I was very naughty this week as I couldn't resist buying some of the new Martha Stewart punches, they came on Friday and they are lovely!!!

There are a few more on the "must have" list!! I have also decided to have a go at trying Glimmer Mists so I have been busy watching demos on you tube before my order arrives.

Right off to relax now.

July Sneak Peeks.

I think every kit that I get from Sarahs Cards I say it is my favourite so far......this month is no exception, it is full of gorgeous October Afternoon papers one of my favourite manufacturers!!
Anyway thought I would share little sneak peek of the kit......just the one!

I have been very busy over the last week as Sarah asked me to do some posts on the blog while Lianne was away, I decided that a few classes might be fun. These are the two layouts that I did.

Rebecca at the local donkey sanctuary a few years ago, I have had this photo waiting to be scrapped for ages and these Pretty Please papers by MME seemed perfect

Rebecca and my nephew Josh when he was a few weeks old....almost makes me broody!!

I did this layout too with the yummy new basic grey Lime Rickey range although I wasn't sure I liked it when it was done, much "flatter" than my usual style.

Sweetie Pie

Must show you these photos, at Chessington both the girls deciced to spend some of their money on sweets....typical kids!! They paid £5 for a large bucket of pick a mix and were both really chuffed with their purchases. On Sunday we had to leave everything in the car when we went into Legoland, Rebecca left her bucket of sweets on the seat in the back and off we went without giving it a second thought. The day was gorgeous, really hot and sunny. When we got back to the car Rebeccas sweets has melted and formed a congealed sweetie pie!!!! She was most upset.

Rebecca and her bucket of sweets

The Sweetie Pie after I managed to prise it out of the bucket!

Poor Rebecca :(

Chessington and Legoland!!

We had such a great weekend away I thought I would share a few of the 522 photos that I took!!!! We left at lunch time on Friday and had a very slow crawl up the the Holiday Inn on the Chessington site, the hotel was lovely and the girls even had their own little part of the bedroom with their own TV we were very impressed!
Saturday was my birthday, no long 37 :( Had an amazing day in the Chessington park, because we were staying in the on site hotel we were allowed into the park 30 mins before other members of the public. It was great fun dashing from one ride to the next as quick as we could so we avoided the lines.

Sunday we went to Legoland, bit more of a sedate park with more family fun rides rather than hair raising rides.

Four excited kids!

Emily and I waiting on the landing for the others to join us for breakfast.

Beano land in Chessington, Emily and Eleanor getting very wet!

Beano land.

One of the things that Rebecca wanted to do was to walk through the spider monkey enclosure. They were selling bugs at 50p a time to feed the monkeys, they made £5 out of us. lol.

Rebecca, Emily and John on the Ramases Revenge. The ride span you upside down and got you drenched! I would say this was the scariest ride in the park, I didn't go on it but just watching the girls waiting to ride my heart was pounding. They absolutley loved it, I managed to capture this shot as they came up out of the water!!

Rather more sedate!! Legoland driving school for 6-13 year olds. All the kids had to attend a "lecture" on road safety and then were let loose out on the road, it was hilarious to watch some of there manavoures were so comical. Rebecca loved it, even though she did an illegal overtake she passed her test and got her licence.

Emily wasn't very thrilled with the Dragon ride. lol.

There was a very talanted lady doing charactures so we got one of each of the kids.

Four now very tired kids :)
