Beautiful Moments.

I am back to share more of the pages that I created using this months gorgeous Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook. If you didn't see my last post Pam featured a new paper manufacturer....Carta Bella and their Beautiful Moments collection, it is a stunning kit and great fun to work with.
For some reason I haven't really scrapped our pets before but I took so many really cute photos of Barney when he was tiny now is the time to start! I know he is a boy and this page is a bit pink buy hey I don't think he really minds.

The 12x12 sheet of alpha stickers are fab, I especially loved this pink alpha. I matted each letter onto scraps of cardstock so that I could easily vary the height of each character.

I love papers which have images that can be cut out, often the images are placed in a corner like on this
Carta Bella paper, once they are cut out you are left with a piece which is triangular in shape. I find that these shapes can sometimes be a bit difficult to incorporate onto the page, to get over that I cut the image into three sections and layered them up giving a totally different shape and look.

Don't forget to check out the DT gallery over at My Creative Scrapbook, the girls have produced some truly inspiring creations this month, well worth a visit.

Carta Bella!

This months main kit from My Creative Scrapbook features a new manufacturer...Carta Bella, the range featured in the kit is called Beautiful Moments and I have to say it is gorgeous, the quality of the paper is excellent which made it such a pleasure to work with. Pam has teamed the range with Prima flowers and embellishments, chipboard frame, bling, ribbon and lace to create a stunning kit.

When Amelie was born I bought some material and got a friend to make her a special little Teddy, I had to take a photo of the two of them together and these papers were a perfect match. I cut out lots of the little banners, cut them into small sections and edged the photo with them.

The element sticker sheet that is in the kit has got some really usable images on it which I matted onto cardstock and cut out. I always tend to do that so I  can move them around my page without worrying about them sticking, it also means that I can bend and curl them to add definition and interest. It can be a bit fiddly but I think it makes the stickers so much more versatile.

Here is the Carta Bella Main kit....

I will be back in a few days with the rest of the pages that I created using this kit. If you want to have a look at the rest of the Design Teams creations then why not pop on over to the DT gallery over at My Creative Scrapbook.

I am sorry I haven't been visiting as many of your blogs as usual, working full time is really taking its toll on my scrapping and internet surfing time!!! Hopefully normal service will resume soon. The job is going really well, it is very different and not in a field I have ever nursed in before but it is really interesting and I am absolutely loving it which makes the increased hours much easier to accept!

July Limited Edition Kit

Time to reveal this months gorgeous Limited Edition kit from My Creative Scrapbook........Websters Girl Land! I totally loved this paper range as soon as I saw it on the Websters blog and Pam teamed the papers up with some gorgeous Prima flowers, chipboard, lace and ribbon to create an absolutely stunning kit.
I struggle to use more than one photo on my pages so I set myself a little challenge and I am quite pleased with the end result!

I created the butterfly using a template I made from some other paper, I think it was Simple Stories paper, I cut the butterfly out to use on another page but really liked the page so decided to create a template before I added it to the page. I have used the template loads since.

I cut out the grid paper and created lots of frames for my background layering them up.

I painted the chipboard with white crackle paint and inked the edges and then decorated it with gems.

Finally I made a really simple card .

Here is the gorgeous kit....
