Fussy Cut Chipboard

In the Limited Edition kit from My Creative Scrapbook this month there is a packet of gorgeous Prima Songbird chipboard, I especially loved the rose image but I wanted to make it more delicate by cutting off the border which was impossible in its original form so....

I used my craft knife to slice horizontally through the layers of the chipboard.

Once I had made a start with the knife I carefully peeled off the top few layers.

Once I had separate the two layers I was able to cut the border off.

This is what I was left with after I had cut it out.

There is a wealth of tips and techniques over on the forum from all of the design team, definitely worth a look and there are new tips each month.

saw this over on CS and thought to myself that only you would have the patience to do this. Great idea for all those bits I have in the past got rid of due to the edging. will look at them in a different light in future.

It looks great Rachel but I don't think I would have the patience to separate and them cut the picture out.
