I love this photo of my Grandma taken when she was 12, we have a few of her taken during this photo shoot and they are just lovely. My martha stewart butterfly punch wasn't quite right for this page but I found a butterfly stamp unopened in my drawer which was perfect. I stamped the image twice, inked the edges and layed them using pinflair gel. I had wanted to use some prima flowers as embellishments but they aren't something that I use very often so I didn't have many to choose from. Instead I decided to try and use what I had, I think it works ok.
I am off to the Sarahs Cards retreat next weekend to teach so I thought I had better start packing my tote but I got sidetracked! My embellishment drawers were in such a mess I just had to sort them out. I did find a few things that I had totally forgotten I had so it was worth the effort.

A truly beautiful page Rachael. I love the colours and the butterfly. You're lucky to have such good old photographs of your family.
I like the new photo header too.
This is lovely, you always do these old photos/heritage style so well. I can never get it right!! Thanks for stopping by my blog! Have a great Sunday!
Another fab lo. I love how you've used the lace....I may have to pinch that idea.
Oh and I give your neat drawers...a couple of days! LOL
Lovely layout Rachael beautiful photo, gorgeous memories.
Such a beautiful soft LO and please could you "pop" round and help me organise my drawers too!! lol x
I'm sure it they won't stay tidy for 5 minutes but like you say, it is worth it to find out what bits you have that you had forgotten about!
I love your latest two LO's. I have butterfly stamps, but very rarely stamp on my pages at all...maybe I should try it again. Thanks for the inspiration! Lou X
Another great vintage LO, really beautiful. Have a great time at your Retreat. Your neat drawers but my all craft room to shame - LOL.
