I decided to set myself a personal challange, I always seem to layer lots of paper and put quite a few embellishments on. I created this layout but I wasn't allowed to layer any paper and that included a photo matt and I had to keep it really simple. It was hard and the finished result is very different than my usual layout.

Scrummy stash cafe challange
Monday, June 16, 2008
Finished this layout today, it is mainly using bits from the scrummy stash cafe and a few bits of my own stash. Love this photo of my Mum and Emily even though it is nearly 10 year old, Emily looks so cute with her little bunches.
I had an email from Scrapbok Magazine last week giving me a few more details about the article they want me to write. I have to produce four layouts and a 1000 word article! I have done three of the four layouts but only about 180 words so far. I am so excited about doing it, it is quite daunting and I hope that I can do it justice but it is a real challange!
Busy few days
The weekend has come and gone all too quickley, on Saturday we went to Wells to visit my Aunty. As a child I often went to stay for holidays with my cousins and hadn't been for a walk around the city for about 16 years so it was lovely. It is such a beautiful city and so much going on for such a small place, it was quite funny as I was half expecting the characters from Hot Fuzz to appear. We found the Somerfield and went in to get my Aunty some flowers, when Justin paid he got out his wallet which has got his warrent card in and the lady commented "here come the Fuzz" think it made Justins day he loves that film!!
After our trip to Wells we went to Street for a bit of retail therapy. Managed to pick up some lovely bits. Emily got herself a jumper from Henri Lloyd which they put in a large bag so we put all our other bits in the same bag. Emily accidently left the bag on the floor in Monsoon, by the time we realised and went back the assistants had given the bag to another family thinking it belonged to them as they had lots of other bags from that shop!!! Emily was beside herself as most of the shopping was hers, we didn't get the bag back but Justin went to Henri Lloyd to see if the bag had been handed in and they felt so sorry for Emily that they gave her another jumper. I thought that was really good of them.
Moral of the story, give all the shopping to Justin to carry in future!!!

Home Grown
Had a good day at work today, we only had 11 patients in so it was lovely and calm! We did decide that work should really be banned when it is so hot and sunny. I have got a day off tomorrow so hopefully the sun will still be shinning.
Finished a bit of a fun layout last night, I had a piece of paper by tinkering ink with large flowers on in the scrummy stash cafe kit which I just had to cut out! When I had cut it out I didn't know what to do with it, anyway I found a photo of Emily from years ago and then the flowerpot idea came to me.........think it must have been too much sun!! Emily loves the layout so I am happy.

Another Gorgeous Day!
It is hard to believe that the sun is shinning for the third day in a row!! I had a bit too much exposure yesterday (got a bit red) so no sunbathing for me today.
I have been busy up in my craft room which has been lovely, it is so relaxing. It has actually been a very productive day, I have finished two layouts and a cj entry. I am impressed with myself!!
This layout if for the Scrummy Stash Cafe, I am just so loving these papers they are such gorgeous colours. Justin took this photo on Saturday when we went to Abbotsbury, there is something about it that I just love and had to scrap it.

What a gorgeous day!! It has been so hot and sunny we have spent most of the day in the garden we even had a marathon game of monopoly out there. Justin won by a mile, we were all well and truely penniless.
I managed to finish my first design team layout and get it uploaded onto the SSC blog......with quite a bit of help!
Finally done it!!
Well I have finally done it! I have joined the world of the bloggers! Think I have set it all up right but you never know we will have to wait and see.
Well what a week it has been, I have been on such a high. I was asked if I would like to become a design team member for Scrummy Stash Cafe for 3 months. Would I like to.....................YES PLEASE! I received my kit from them yesterday and I have to say it is absolutely gorgeous. So much pattened paper and from 3 different manufacturers, very impressed.
I also emailed a page to Shimelle from scrapbook inspirations after she posted a request on UKS and I have been asked to do the sketch challange for issue 45! Could things get any better I ask myself?
Well on the 29th May I had an email from Scrapbook magazine asking if I would be interested in writing an article for them about a topic of my choice. I still can't believe I have been asked to do all these things, I am just so chuffed!
